Mud Racing Event Registration
Upon entry to the event your race vehicle will be teched in, and placed
in the according class. You will be given a copy of the rules which is
used as a check list. Then you and the tech official will go over the
check list and place you into the proper class. We have always used the
honor system. It's the driver's responsibility to know what class the
vehicle they are driving can race in.
You can enter a class at anytime prior to the class starting. However,
we recommend you show up at least two hours prior to the event start.
This will ensure you are placed in the proper class and able to attend
the drivers meeting.
Drivers meetings are held one half hour prior to the events start time.
It is the drivers responsibility to attend the meeting and adhere to all
the policies and rules discussed.
You may scratch or withdraw from a class you have previously registered
for only, prior to the class starting. If you do scratch you will be
refunded your registration fee. You will not receive points(if you are
points member) for any class that you have scratched out of.
Each class will be limited to 30 entries, first come first serve.
Vehicles may enter twice per class with a different driver.
However, a vehicle can only place ONCE per class. Including points.
If a vehicle is running in the wrong class and is protested, the vehicle will be re-teched, and you may be
Dis-Qualified if you are in violation of the rules.
Only Drivers from the class in question may file a protest.
Mom's Motor Sports tech officials reserve the right to tech and retech any
vehicle at any time during any event, any refusal will be an automatic DQ.
No refunds for DQs or cheating.
Fighting will have the same results and you will be asked to leave the property.
All rules are subject to minor change with a majority vote of the drivers at
any event during the drivers meeting before any race starts.
Racer Rules and Safety Protocol
Rules
Statement For New Racers: When you come to our event, we do our best
to place you in the proper class where you will be able to compete.
If it is your first time racing at one of our events, our biggest
concern is that your vehicle does NOT start in gear. The neutral safety
switch is the one rule we will not tweak or overlook to properly class
your vehicle or allow you to race.
Some of the other rules are not so hard and fast though. For example:
drive shaft hoop and loops. The rule book says they are required.
However, this is for returning racers and points members. If you are a
first time racer the hoops and loops can be added before your return to
another race with Moms. The same is true for the transmission shield.
Again, feel free to call with questions.
•Neutral Safety Switch required for all classes.(this means your vehicle will not start IN gear)
•Drive shaft loops and hoops required for all classes. (except for Factory-Street).
•Transmission Blankets or Shields required for all classes.(except for Factory).
•All vehicles must be 4-wheel drive. (except for Open-classes)
•Helmet, seat belts and fire extinguisher required.
•Roll-Bars required in all open classes and all open top vehicles.
•Clevis required at rear of vehicle for pull back. If hitch point fails during pull-back vehicle will be disqualified.
•Front tow hook also required.
•Factory and Pro street class can only move up to Super-Stock and Tractor-Tire classes.
•Super Stock can move up to any Open/Mod class including Tractor-Tire classes.
If a vehicle or driver is determined by any tech official to be unsafe
at any time then the vehicle and or driver will be disqualified from
racing until requirements are met.
You may also be disqualified for the following reasons.
•Drivers will have 30 seconds to bring vehicle to starting line when called or risk forfeiture of run.
•False starts will result in a DQ.
•If a driver hits the timing lights they are DQed.
•If a driver exits the mud pit through any un esignated boundary, gate or lane they are DQed.
•Vehicles not in neutral during hook up will be DQed.
•During mud bogs, you must stop at end of track when pulling cable or you will be DQed.
If anyone is caught drinking alcohol, doing drugs or is under the
influence in the pits during a race that person will be asked to leave.
If they are registered in a class and have raced your prize money may be
forfeited as will subsequent registrations at the event. If you are
driving a race vehicle, you are responsible for your pit crews
compliance with the no tolerance drinking policy in the pits. You will
be disqualified if your crew is not compliant. No refunds and no prize
money.
Time for tire changes will be allowed unless changes are from one vehicle to another running the same class.
Please Remember Safety First!
